Hazleton Area School District

Project Summary

A multi-phase project for a large, rural public school district in Northeastern Pennsylvania, stretching over portions of Luzerne, Schuylkill, and Carbon Counties.

Energy savings and replacement needs were prioritized into Priority 1 and Priority 2 ECMs (Energy Conservation Measures). This enabled district leaders to determine which measures to implement immediately while providing a blueprint for future phases that could eventually address all mechanical replacements and upgrades.

The priority 1 ECMs identified for positive payback were:

  • LED Lighting Upgrades
  • Building Automation Controls
  • Commissioning
  • Building Automation Software Upgrades
